Quote: wow dude thats a lot of stuff.
ur getting the tire pressure monitor, i thought sunman told me that u can only do that with the CLK instrument cluster.
activation of passive tire pressure monitoring is possible on most late 04 and later cars.

the only thing you can do is upgrade to a cluster and get ACTIVE TPMS installed with sensors.

if that day it all works out i can come down and pick you up, but if not then u can drive to my house and leave ur car in my garage. and we can go in my car from my house, too the pre-meet and the drive to Seattle. but let the date come close and we will figure it out... how does that sound

on another note, do we know how many ppl are coming for sure?

Hi guys. I recently got my 1st MB, a 2002 C240 and I wanted to add the Command and a bluetooth to it. Just got the bluetooth Argos module a few minutes ago (before I saw this post) however I still shopping for the Command.

Can I get some idea of cost for it (Parts + Installation) ?

This road trip to Seattle sounds great but I'm returning from Mexico on the 19 morning and might not have anough time to make it but if I can get this done on the saturday I will try to work on my schedule to be there too.

Cheers,

guys, my sister's place has a one car spot in her driveway and the rest would have to park on a street. Shall we consider another location in Seattle?

Probably a good idea. Up to you Sunman, I dont know Seattle that well. Unless someone else knows a good place? Maybe you can ask your Sister if there is a mall nearby or something?

sunil, please let us know if there is another place we can do installs. i think your sister's will be fine if you are ok with it. either way we will meet there as planned and figure it out from there if need be.

+1 your only going to work on one car at a time, so it wont be a problem unless u want to do the install somewhere else. then that is ur call.

before i knew Sunil was offering his sister's driveway, i was exploring other
possibilities. right next to Costco's flagship store was a small place that
sells used cars (Lexus, MB, BMW...). they had moved a couple miles south
to new warehouse location. I was trying to get a hold of the owner to see
if he would allow us to use the vacated place....since it had a small parking
lot.....and some of those portable tents where they detailed cars etc.

drove down there two wks ago and......there was a huge hole and the
bldg flattened. seems Costco bought it so they could expand.

darn, it would have been perfect....and those waiting their turn could have
stepped next door and watched large screen tv and raided the aisle ends for
free food.

my concern was the unpredictability of Seattle weather, of course. oh well....

+1 free food from cost would have been a good bonus. but o well... If the weather does not favor us, then we will deal with it as it happens, maybe look for an underground place somewhere to do the mods.

Hey guys, have fun on the trip. I probably won't be tagging along as I didn't get my order in to Sunil (I was being indecisive because I didn't know if my original plans were going fall through... which they did). I guess I'll spend my time detailling and polishing the rims for the VE meet the day after....lol.

Just an FYI a couple of the VE guys met up with the Seattle crowd to cruise down to Bimmerfest. One of the guys was pulled over at the border and questioned about his "Surveillance equipment" (I guess laser jammer, etc) and was turned around and denied access into the US when asked about the cruise. I've attached a thread and you could probably PM KaOsTiK about what happenned. He was vague on the thread but I'm sure he'll explain a bit more explicitly offline. It could be a false alarm on my part, but just a heads up.
