ITG filter question?

Just installed my ITG air filter. I had it for over a month before i got around doing it. I wasn't sure if i should have put it in yet. I was waiting for some Dyno results on it. Some of you said the c230 looses about couple HP on it. Is this true?

The reason i am asking is because after my install(ITG) the car seems to be runing a little rougher at idle now for some reason. And it seems like car is not quick as it was before(but that could be me).

Also my filter was almost 1/4" bigger than stock filter. Had some problem putting it in the Airbox on the 2002 c230.

My car has 11,000km on it with no problem yet. Knock on wood. Would the ITG filter do more damage than good. I am now thinking of removing it till i get some dyno results on this thing.

Has anyone had any problems with the filter or any Dyno results yet?

maybe... it may be rougher but the difference is so minimal that i keep thinking it may be just perception.

i also thought the filter was a little too large.

The filter is oversized as that's what holds it in place since it doesn't have a rigid frame to keep it's shape otherwise. My K&N filter should be in today, I'll keep you posted. All I need now is some dyno time to do the comparison. The K&N is about $43 shipped free + tax in CA. Anyone want to donate dyno time?

Its in your minds. It is not possible to notice a 1 or 2 HP gain or loss.

In the interest of science! I got the filter, now I need dyno time. Any volunteers? All I'll be able to tell you soon is if it fits. ITG claims their filter is better than any gauze filter like K&N. The truth remains to be seen.
