Question Bumper Dings Nicks

I live in the city, I have a black car and when I get dings and nicks in the bumber the white underneath the paint really stands out. The dealer said they don't fix that and they would have to replace the bumper. Any suggestions on how to spruce up the bumper?

u'll see spots with that. i have tired it, does not work out too well. the only thing u can do is to hope they hit ur impact strips and get them repainted because its cheep to do that.
to minimize the damage from this kind of stuff i have been thinking of putt he 3M clear bra on the rear bumper. and hope that can provide some protection.

try Lanka Its supposed to work really well, I haven't tried it myself but am itching to.

Or, you can have the bumper painted and then get a clear bra put on.

I had several one/two inch long and very deep scratches in my back bumper and also both sides of my front bumper/amg body kit were badly scraped up. I have a granite grey color so the scratches stood out since under the paint the bumper material is white. It looked like crap and the dealer was going to charge me an arm and a leg. I followed buellwinkles how too and honestly it looks brand new. Buellwinkles site has the how to for the front body kit . For the rear bumper i used flexible body filler to fill in the big deep gouges and then followed bullwinkles how too again. If you search the forum you can find a link to his site and on his site their is an excellent DIY and a source to find the materials.. It cost me $50.00 and a few hours and it looks brand new, and at the same time i used to the kit I purchased paint my side markers to match the body color, no more orange flashers..... genius!!

I scrapped the front air dam this week and it really annoys me looking at the scratches. I am planning of getting the front repainted but I'll check out Bullwinkle's DIY first...Thanks..
