EMERGENCY My Bi-Xenons Burned,Melted and Smoking HORROR STORY PLEASE HELP
If the dealership sold you the vehicle and the warranty, which listed the headlights as covered under warranty, but failed to disclose that your vehicle had headlights that are not covered, preferrably in writing, then they need to pick up the tab, or get insurance to cover the damage.
Presumably all the documentation they provided show this as a covered part and they failed to provide documentation that shows this is not covered, then it is time to become a pain-in-the-butt. How is the buyer, in a situation like this, supposed to know that the warranty doesn't apply, when the dealership has all the information and doesn't share that with the buyer?
As an opposing position, an easy way to determine if the Xenon was not factory installed is the absence of washers / extinguishers. Everybody knows that...
My opinion is that the selling dealership, regardless of turnover, bears some responsibility, unless their sales agreement provides them an out, or unless they defined the headlights weren't covered by the purchased warranty, or unless the warranty provides them an out.
