Hey guys and gals, sadly it is time to get rid of my MB (I‘m moving to SD and the closest dealer would be 425 miles away). Instead of trying to sell it privately I took it to carmax in Sac and they appraised it at $22,500. I was expecting high teens for it. Should I take the money and run??

car info:
2005 C230 I'm the second owner, mileage is 35,5XX. Only options I have are heated seats, and the sunroof/six disc/rear sun shade package. Car has one door ding that can get fixed through the paintless dent removal for ~$100, and rock chips on the lower front bumper. Other then that the car is in excellent condition. It also has the CPO warranty until 30 Nov 2010 or 100k miles.

CarMax offered me $22,500 I think it is a good deal but I would like to know what you all have been offered (if anyone has been trying to sell).

If anyone wants to buy privately too let me know.

I am also going to part out the few mods and parts I have:
-brilliant silver (744) Euro impact strips
-Euro convex mirrors
-flat white star from DFWdude serial # N004
-AUX cable
-4300K Eagle Eye H7 HID kit needs to have xenon set to present (I might keep this for my Touareg, not sure)

-744 touch up paint with clear coat

-Front MB sun shade for 01+ C class
-single din dash kit for 05+ C class (might fit CLK and SLK?)

yeah i love the parting out threads, he quoted me at $140 for the strips...but if u read his post, he says there are rock chips on the lower front bumper...so im guessing the strips arent in that good of shape either...i'll save up for brand new from steve, so i remove my dibs officially lol

 

$22,500 seems pretty decent, but it still sucks!

the strips are not bad at all, the rock chips are mainly on the lower bumper, I will try to get some good pictures tomorrow.
