benz is just another automobile.. u gonna at least do it once or twice...the load that goes on the rear axle/tires/brakes won't be a problem unless you do it all the time. this is no worse than racing/going fast on your car daily.
Waste of time, money, and materials. I hope they grow up. But I'm curious how the car stays still during all of this?

all brakes are working. it's just a typical brake stand... very easy to do in any rwd cars with some normal hp.Originally Posted by AsianML

Does that mean the brakes are on enough to hold the front wheels but the engine power is overcoming the rear brakes? I still don't get it.

you got it, thats the idea. and you dont hold the brake down completely, just enough to stop the car from moving.Originally Posted by mleskovar

Typical brake setup is about 70% front 30% back. So that means that the front brakes are clamping harder than the back. What you want to do is hold the brakes at just the right spot where the fronts are holding you still so that the backs are as free as possible.Originally Posted by mleskovar

do it too much however it's bye-bye torque converter.
three things that hold me back from ever doing a burnout:
1. waste of tire
2. could kill your torque converter
3. you look like a dumbass

Forgot about the torue convertor. After reading your post, I remembered the first one held it for almost a minute. Originally Posted by FrankW
