Talking Finally picking up new shoes

I have finally purchased new wheels. I decided to go with a used set of DPE R5 SL's. They're off of a friends C55. I will post pictures as soon as I get my car back and slap these on. They will be 19x8 F 19x10 R.

here is what they look like:

edit: full polish finish & YES, i am getting coilovers shortly!

are they chrome like in the pic? It might look a lot better if they were black imo.. But either way HOT

very nice looking wheels... love the shape and design. personally not a fan of chrome, but if any car can pull it off its a black car!

i would have gone for a 2 tone finish if i ordered these new. i would have gone with a chrome or polish lip with a silver/polish face + a black backing (not sure how else to explain that).

not a fan of DPE as they've known to be soft and welded 2 piece wheels. one of my friend had hairline crack as well as easy bends on both of his rear 19x9.5 on his E46 coupe (this was from the same bad section of roads that I drove pass on my HRE and DCR and they were absolutely fine). He can't just have DPE sent new barrels and put it together locally because they're welded. He had to send both wheel back to get it fixed.

I told Terrence about the welded DPE's.

Congrats on the wheels Terrence. Now watch out for them potholes!

thanks for the heads up Frank
i know about the quality of DPE's and they were not a concern of mine when i purchased them. i decided on these b/c of the fantastic finish on them compared to the other brands. i was really close to getting a set of iForged daytons but after seeing some up close the finish just didnt compare. the roads in this city are pretty good so i should be fine (knock on wood).
