I am still trying to convince my friend that he has to lower the front of his car...it is too high for my liking - especially next to my own C270CDI

...and uh - just love those brakes

greetingz,

No Big Brakes ?Is This Estate a NON Smoking Estate

(IF) Marco Wont Lower it....Just slap on a 4MATIC Badge on the Tail Gate
Your Silver W203 Estate looks so Much Better....Better Brakes and Lower!
Oh and the Factory Tinted Glass! Nice Job!

btw... what kind of suspension would you recommend? (or... what did you use to drop your wagon?) looks great!

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
i do agree with ya! keep on him about lowering it... even if it was jsut springs. aggressive stance... CHECK!
I dig the steering-wheel and cluster, great job!Even if Marco doesn't want to lower it, he should at least tune it down just one notch up front - right now it has the opposite Keilform usually affiliated with 'Diesel met trekhaak'.... Which when I come to think of it fits that car perfectly somehow... Oh well, very nice car nevertheless!
I must say though that his car is soooooo much more comfortable to drive then mine (both at low and high speeds)...it kind of shocked me how comfortable an S203 can be.
The car was picked up approx 450km (300 miles) from where we live and we managed to maintain an average speed of approx 170kmh (105mph) on the way back...the 270CDI rocks!

greetingz,
so in order to make driving a car affordable (we do not lent money for a car nor do we lease cars overhere), one will have to settle for something slightly older AND driving a car with some personalised modifications makes driving it so much more fun then driving a car of the shelf.
greetingz,

You can't buy a new C class wagon in the US, they don't import them. So 2005 with the wee engine is the best we can do.
I am most impressed with the brakes on your car. If I had the inclination to change my wheels, I might go for a package. Then I slap myself, realizing a 2.6l motor will not move the well enough to need those nice brakes.
The wagon seemed nicely equipped before you made it wonderful, but I did not see cruise control on the menu. Did it not come with the Estate? I noticed you prewired for distronic. Doesn't that work with the cruise control, or is it a different system?
You did a very nice job. Your friend is very lucky to be driving such a fabulous car.
