Standard C230 wheels/tires on C240...

I assume they are interchangable? I'm happy with 16" wheels and I like the standard Michelin tires. I'm not referring to the "C7" wheels. Any place sell them cheap? I don't see any on eBay.

thanks
Jim

Yes, they are interchangable. Wheels from the SLK, CLK are also interchangeable. E wheels are, too.

E wheels are not because of offset differences.

C, CLK and SLK are all interchangable, any year and model to any other year and model (except AMG's)

Actually, E wheels have the same offset as c wheels. The offset is 37mm or 37mm front and 30mm rear if staggered wheels are used.

Jim, where do you live? I am getting the new 18" double-spoke AMGs as soon as tire rack gets them, so then I may sell the stock 16s w/ the Michelins. (they got about 2500 miles of which 1500 is probably highway)

AndrewK,
Cool! You do mean the wheels on your '02 coupe, correct? I'm in Columbus, which is approx. 1 hour south of you! You can e-mail me at jcbanville1@cs.com. My wife really didn't like the standard coupe wheels when I showed them to her on a coupe, but I cut n' pasted them onto a pic of a silver C240 like ours and she has changed her mind

thanks!
Jim
