I'm kind of fond of my cheapest Benz.
So far, so good on reliability (though it's only been a short while).
Shyte, my little engine is so cheap, MBUSA won't bring it into the country any more.
However, I think the Speed Innovations tuned ECU has given her a little more pep. And the mpg ain't too shabby either . . . .

wonder if the kid says the same things to the following owners of these cars as they are the cheapest ('entry level') in the stable of the parent company:
Ferrari F430
Lambo Gallardo
Porsche Boxter
Lotus Elise
Maserati Coupe
Atson Martin Vantage
Maybach 57
Bentley Continental
I would rather have the cheapest car in a high end company than the most expensive car in a cheap company... Kia Amanti or Hyundai Azera or VW Phaeton comes to mind
Last point, would rather have the cheapest house on the street in a great neighbourhood than the most expensive house in a crappy area

Mercedes-Benz has dabbled in jet aircraft engines, motorcycles, in the far past, check your Diamler-Benz history. If MB wanted to, they could easily blow away Honda in those competitive markets. MB chooses to focus on their main product and evolutionize it based on emerging technology.
The kid most likely won't even know what F1 means.

Wtf? some kid with his souped up honda told me that while i was driving with my 2007 silver c230...I know its the most affordable of the benz but it still is way better then a honda civic...with after market parts.
I think its just hate! cause a lexus is250, benz c230, and bmw 3 series **** on their rides so they have to hate on your car.

I had it happen once at a dinner party. All the other girls were giving congrats to my wife on her new C and some dip**** husband makes the cheapest Benz comment. I was just about to mix it up and the wife shoots me the "Don't do it look". People suck.

Well a mb is more expensiver and more luxury then a honda, But in the future honda probably would make there cars fly while mb would still be rolling on 4 wheels. Honda is aloat more smarter then mb, thats why there cars last aloat longer.

I've got a slightly different perspective, which I'll share for variety's sake.
I drive an SL55 because it's what I like to drive. It doesn't matter to me if anyone else likes it, hates it, or doesn't even notice it.
It also doesn't matter to me that Mercedes makes it. I didn't buy it for the badges, I bought it because of how it drives. I'd have bought the car even if Honda made it, or Ford, or Kia.
There's always someone else with a newer car, or a faster car, or a more expensive car. Doesn't matter to me. I'm still driving what I like to drive.
Bill at Motorwerks has a non-AMG CLK that will roast the doors off my SL. (It has a after-market supercharger and custom exhaust.) Doesn't matter. I love his car but I wouldn't trade it for mine because I'm driving what I like.
The point is, if you like your C, don't worry about the jerks who are trying to knock you down a peg. Just laugh 'em off and enjoy the drive.

next time a civic tell u that u have the cheapest benz tell him, what ever it might be but ur 4 mags are worth more then his car.

and accidentally, i remember one of the scene from old fast and furious (2001). after they have done moding with their supra they hit on the road for testing and they met with one ferrari guy and i still remember that ferrari guy said "more than you can effort, pal. FERRARI, VROOM VROOM!" hehe

I laugh at the people who think somehow I'm inferior because I drive the cheapest, wait let me correct myself, least expensive Mercedes. If someone thinks that a $40,000 car is somehow "cheap" then excuse me, I wish I had the kind of money where $40,000 is "pocket change!"
Bottom line is I don't care, the car is great, the style is beautiful, and it makes me happy--and that is the most important part. Oh and I'd rather be in my cheap Mercedes than a Civic if god forbid i'm in an accident. If the Civic owner is truly happy with their car, then good for them, you have to take happiness where you can get it in life. But I suspect it's just jealous idiots who are "hatin" on our cars. (That is in quotes btw, because I would never use that word in that context, but it seems appropriate here.)

In my opinion it'll be only science fiction until they fix several problems i.e. enough energy to make it practical for the average person to fly, and computers or a trained pilot that will do the driving for everyone because nobody wants an average moron in a flying car capable of crashing it. There are many accidents with cars on wheels, imagine cars with wings.

Just ignore those kids. We all drive a C class cause we like it or because it's a Mercedes or for whatever reason it may be. I myself, prefer to spend 40k on a low model Mercedes rather than a highest model Honda.
