Just installed my OEM 2005+ Headlamps

The quality of the light output (using HID conversion kit) is terrible compared to my OEM frosted one. It has different beam pattern between the left and the right one. Damn.. Anyone has input? Do you guys have the same problem with me?

I think I am going to sell it and buy the depo projectors or back to frosted one.

The look is 1000X better with the clear but the output is 100000X worse...

The light will generally scatter so its better to get some oem bi-xenons if its in your budget. You can try depo projectors but I think there has been some mix feelings with it

Yeah, the light is horrible. My frosted one was perfect.

Does anyone has a light pattern using an HID conversion in an OEM clear housing or depo projector?

Yeah but I am still deciding to change my headlamps.. What do you think, depo projectors or back to frosted? Which gives the best light output?

The frosted ones should give you a better light output compared to Depo headlights, unless you replace the projectors of your Depos.

But, how come your clear headlights generate a worse light output??
I thought it should've been a lot better and brighter compared to the frosted ones.

I thought that too. Using the clear one, the beam pattern is WORSE.. The light spread to the everywhere and even the beam pattern is different (left and right). I checked whether I put the bulb in the right place, and yes, I did.

I'll post some pics soon. Just to give some image, if you aim the lamps about 10 feets to the wall, the focus point of each lamp become blurred..

I think something's wrong with the headlights. Why don't you try to play with the position of your bulbs (Ex:turning your bulb 360,and slowly)and stop turning when you see the best light output.

I did.. Last night I parked infront of a flat wall and try to turn my bulb 360 degrees and the current position (where it supposed to be) has the best output.

Does the Depo projector can be retro-fitted using the e55 projector?

I'm really not sure,SORRY.I read it here some W210 owners that have Depo headlights replaced their Depo projectors with projectors from Acura (TL,I believe). You could STTF and find out.I know this guy with Raymond-G or smth nickname did this for his W210.

You are using halogen rite? It's worse compared to the frosted one?

I always noticed W203s with clear headlights( halogen bulbs ) had a better light pattern and output compared to frosted ones with halogen bulbs as well.

Yep. I agree with that. But if you use H7 conversion kit, the frosted is much better since the light does not spread as much as the clear one.
