ML Navi Head Unit in C

Hey guys,

Someone is putting up their navi head unit off a W163 ML for sale. I'm just wondering if this will be able to fit in the W203. The dash will probably need some modifications for the new unit to fit which isn't a problem, I'm just not sure if all the plugs and connections will be compatible? (ie:plug and play?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Found a diagram of all the connections on the back of a 2.0 command for a 203. Does anyone have a pic or a diagram of the back of the stock navi unit off a 163?

There are quite a few problems with using an ML head in a C class. There are wiring differences, there are CANbus differences, there are speed sensor differences, there are optial fiber bus differences, a device that measures the inclination is different. and it won't fit unless you don't mind it looking like it was done by Mrs. Barndollar's kindergarden art class.

I can't tell from your information which fiber optic system you have, but you should really look for a comand that is suitable for your car. Even a porable NAV like TomTom Go would be better than an ML head.

It's SO much better to be safe than sorry mate, don't mess with it. One of Steve's guys did my COMAND install (my dealer contracted with them without my knowing - how funny is that?) and it's perfect
