Display failure- C230 Kompressor Coupe
Hey everyone!
The display on my c230 2002 is a little bit weird, the top and the botton is darker than normal... sometimes it is impossible to read.
Has anyone ever had the same problem?

2002 C230K Coupe
Bought a 2002 C230K last week and all the steering mounted controls and display were working fine. Then I parked it in the outside the last three days in the phoenix sun and the top and bottom lines of the display are not readable (even at night), the left side controls dont work during day and only work occasionally at night 
. Right side volume controls are working fine.
Can anything be done to get them to work again? hurts to see that the menu buttons wont work after just three days of ownership.

I have the same problem with my display although the steering wheel buttons are working fine. I took my car in last week for the B service and had the service guy look at it. He didn't say anything about a recall but did say it was covered under my extended warranty, so he is ordering a new display for me. Mine was the same way, the top and bottom rows would almost disappear whenever the car was left out in the sun.
BTW my car went over 100 000 kms last week !!!!!!!!!!!! Still no major problems !!!!!!!!

Yup, that same thing happens to my '02 kompressor coupe everynow and then so it makes sense it's becuase of the sunlight. I personally can deal with it cuase it fixes it self after awhile so no biggie.
I'll just cover up my speedo area with something next time I leave the car out.
