to be sure of the bulb size, take out the ashtray assembly.
its pretty easy, open the lid and pull up in the front of the shift panel area, then 2 clips hold the ashtray assembly in place. pry with a flat screwdriver and it comes out.

still don't understand what you are trying to do...are you a smoker? what does the felt do underneath the ashtray? would you leave the ashtray out permanently?

Yeah, I'll just take it out and see...

Non-smoker here...well the tray where someone would put their ashes is coming out...put away with other car stuff.....then I would be taking the assembly out and the lid off to line the second tray with felt, and then put it back in, which i would use to put my cell phone/coins, or my glass bowl...lol jk

oh...you just want more storage room. I just keep coins/bills in there without taking out the ashtray.

Yeah, just looking for a more sophisticated look and to make it serve as a purpose, and I'd like to get the light in blue to create an ambience...

Peeps don't forget about my other question....Another question, which I've asked before but no one has ever answered, and it's about the cigar lighter (located in cupholder on my car). Well it doesnt work, and the light doesnt either the fuse is fine also, I did notice that the glove box light uses the same fuse as the cigar lighter, and one time while changing the bulb in the glove box, something sparked, therefore the glove box light nor the cigar lighter work. Like I said the fuse is fine, but ultimately I'm looking to get everything back in working order, plus I may be looking to tap into the cigar lighter for a 12V power. Sorry for the long post but any help would be appreciated

Hey guys, this is probably a stupid question, but I'm planning on putting the stock wheels back on tomorrow for the winter, and I was wondering if there was a way to tell which tire goes where or if it even mattered? Thanks.

I don't think it matters for you since yours aren't staggared

just in case, for every set of wheels
i check the inside of the spokes for size differences and offsets
i check the tire to see if there are rotational arrows
and the sizes of the tires to see if they are staggered tires

Right...thats the answer I figured...Our stock non-staggered continentals don't have rotational arrows, but Kev doesn't know what stock wheels are anymore! I just wanted to be sure that I wouldn't be wobbling all winter or something....Anyways I was a lazy @ZZ this morning, so I'll try and wake up and do it tomorrow morning, lol

I see, is it still stuck, or did you take care of it? As long as the assembly can still come out, it should be easy to do...if you do have the ashtray assembly out, make sure u dont undo the springs, PITA!!

Hey everyone, so I finally got my car back from the repair shop after this happening 3 weeks ago.....

The repair came out flawless, as my entire front end looks brand new with no rock chips or anything!! I have to get inspection on Monday, but in the next few weeks I hope to tackle the following to get back on track:

1. Install Depo BiX look alikes w/ 8000k kit
2. Install clear fog lights
3. Hopefully a new grille
4. Remove broken puddle lights
5. Possibly the CCFL license plate bulbs or I'll try the LEDs I got w/ resistors
6. Most likely a new grille. If I get CL style, I'll get flat badge, but not sure yet.

Anyone interested in buying the driver's side of the projector shown here??

I've driven with no inspection, not even a rejection, no nothing for 6 months one time with my old car, so if I get caught I'll be surprised...I won't be using it except driving to Foxwoods and back

Hey guys I'm on my laptop in the waiting room at my local dealership having my tail light checked out. I think theres something wrong with the wire and pin connector, because my brake light is flickering, anyways, lets see what else they try to slap me with...lmao

UPDATE:

It appears that my rear SAM has been getting damp from water getting into my trunk somehow , which is shorting to the tail light.....He said the reason that it's flickering is because that its the computer checking the bulb every few seconds. I asked him if the SAM was permanently damaged, he said it may just need to be dried out a bit more. So he said, to save money get in the trunk and have someone spray water on the car to see if water comes in noticeably somewhere. I do know that when I open my trunk, water drips from the trunk lid into the trunk, which is another location I have to check for leaks, but in the meantime, the stock tail lamp bulb holder was not tripping the error, which means I can finally get my inspection since my car's been in the shop...

...and of course they added that I possibly need new stabilizers, which is the reason for a clunk noise I have.

The tech was cool, he brought me in the shop and was showing me exactly what may be happening and where to check for the leaks...

Just another little update...

Just got the following fixed:

Front end:
Sway bar links
Bushings
Thrust arms

Transmission Leak:
Trans. Filter
Pan Gasket

Water Leak in the trunk was not affecting the Rear SAM, thank god, but that was fixed.

My tail light issue was fixed.

Don't forget the repair of my grille and hood from my fender bender, and also a brand new tire.

SO NOW WHAT! FAILED INSPECTION DUE TO ILLEGAL TINT. It came up 24% on the meter, and now I have a fat R on my windshield...I don't think my tint is that dark. I suppose its just another reason to redo it with moleskin , although I'm not supposed to drive my car until its fixed. I just can't catch a break.

The guy was a *****, had already put the R on my car, and asked did you pay yet, I wanted to hit him. I told him to show me on the meter, cuz my tint is not THAT dark. I think I'm seriously not gonna even bother going back there within 30 days...I'll just wait until I get my taxes back, cuz I'm dead broke anyways from all the repairs, unexpected repairs I should say...
