Carjacked: 2002 C320 Wagon Black from Summit NJ

Carjacked: 2002 C320 Wagon Black from Summit NJ
Around 7p yesterday in Summit NJ, my family and I were carjacked in front of the Huntley Tavern. The thief was armed. He shot away. Not that I'm expecting to see the car ever again, but in case you do:
2002 C320 Wagon
Black exterior/ Black standard leather interior
VIN WDBRH46J62F172537
It was bone stock and in nice condition with a car seat in back. Last week, I had just replaced the tires, rear rotors and pads, done a brake flush, coolant flush, and replaced the air and fuel filters.
Major bummer, but the important thing is that no one got hurt.

I am glad that everyone is ok and not hurt. You can replace the car, but not your friends and family. Time for something new to play with

So sorry to hear that.
That is especially disturbing since I live in Chatham, which is only 5 mins from Summit. The most crime we have around here is when someone lets their lawn get overgrown.

Certainly glad you and you're family are fine. I just learned on the news, from another carjacking that happened, that this can carry up to a life sentence....I hope they find the perps....

Thanks everyone for your kind words. No one was hurt and the guy did not fire his weapon. It happened around 7pm at night.
The license plate is:RPW 97J, but if it's on the road now I doubt that the plates are still on it.
The car is bone stock, except for a Britax seat on the right side. Teleaid was activated ($200), but no hits as of yet. If it hasn't been chopped up yet, my guess is that it's somewhere near Newark, Irvington, etc...
The police said that carjackings have happened in the past in Millburn and Short Hills Mall. Nothing recent though.

Ohh right, I should have known that. We don't have an HOA, I was just joking about this kind of area. It's certainly not the place that we hear about car jackings all that often.
Just to give you an idea...when I was in high school and people had massive parties they would sometimes put 40th birthday balloons on the mailbox so the cops wouldn't bother them. The kids cars were all so nice, that it was very believable! lol
