C230 cpe loaner

I got a cpe loaner today, and it has 4k miles on it,but it doesn't have the take off that mine has,so i popped the hood thinking it might be an 03 but it was the 02.Then i thought when u get a rental due u fill it up with 87 or 91?,exactly.....,but the qustion is would 87 make it noticibly that more sluggish, and the temp was a norm 74 degrees.

why would the rental status of a car determine which fuel octane level you put in the tank? are you really trying that hard to save $3.00?

And cause irreparable harm to the engine in the long run.

actually i fill it up with whatever the specified octane is. On a tank you may save $2-3 but you're already saving money by dealer giving you a loaner and think of the damage you're causing to that engine for the poor B@$t@rd who buy the vehicle off lease

I don't think bobdole filled the car up with 87; he just noticed that it didn't run very well and figured that whoever rented it last filled it up with 87.

Later, BT
