MY2001 C320
Thumbs up Corrosion on doors
Some rust perforation on driver's door. Warranty has expired. Take the car to MB Weston and they found more rust on the other doors as well. Anyway they repaired it for FREE which would otherwise have cost me $900. They also clean the interior for FREE.

Now I can enjoy the summer ride.

They were nice to do it for free. My dealer would have probably charged me.

No, the grille is all the way mine. $160 from ebay. Good quality though.
Usually they give pens and posters or some additional work for free like wheel balance. Once in a while can get baseball caps or coffee mugs. Once I got a thermos. Jealous?

they did it for free because I think they had to, not so much because they
liked you (though they may). I believe your car was covered by door corrosion
service campaign. did they mention that at all?

BRYLN C, Did you tint the side markers yourself or did you buy them tinted. I was looking for some and I couldn't find tinted ones on ebay.

I know corossion warranty for VW is like 20 years. I do not think that the corosion expires that soon.

great. nice to hear then. i just noticed you're in Canada so perhaps it
didn't apply anyway, since my review was probably for US vehicles. then again,
since it was a recall, it may have still applied past the warranty period anyway.

Me too. My local dealer has given me a lot of freebies, and I didn't even buy my car from them, and my car is out of warranty. Parts Dept. also gives me wholesale price on everything too. They have earned my loyalty for LIFE!

No stealership for me!

Oh... the check engine light comes on... car is at shop again... I wonder they rigged the fault light to skim some $$$ after the free job.

When i was buying the car i told the dealer it was a b-day present to myself, so he threw in CD changer and rear foldable seats as a present from the MBUSA.
