Will an E class AMG brakes fit w203?

Hi guys,

I got an offer of E55 AMG brakes (03-06), so I'm wondering whether it can fit my 2002 C240? My wheels are Monoblock VI 19x8.5 and 19x9.5

Any input or suggestion will be much appreciated.

Thanks Guys

no they will not fit without modifying your knuckle and that is something i would not do with brakes.

8-piston front is too much for a W203. most i would do is 4 or 6 piston.

also, E55 rotors are HEAVY

the 8 piston AMG callipers is a NO-GO for a 203 if you want to actually use the brakes...plus they don't fit without some hack-modifications

greetingz,

u sure about that? just because the CLS, S, CL, SL, E etc have the same looking calipers doesnt mean they are all the same and will interchange. The calipers are the same, but brackets are all diffferent. one way is to just make a custom bracket and it'll bolt up, no hack job, etc. totally reversible back to stock. there is another way also without hacking anything but thats secrets of the trades.....

learn the facts before using noob!

Mike works at a local reputable tuner shop in SoCal/LA.

and what he said was 100% correct. you modify the bracket on the caliper, not the knuckle.

Ok fair enough, but the 'secrets of the trade' comment is ridiculous. Someone posts looking for help and it's like a tease.

FrankW is right. There is nothing wrong with what MikeL said. Do you expect shops who do this type of work for a LIVING to explain everything? Nobody will give up their intellectual property freely to the public. I had Brabus R230/W211 brakes installed on my W203 by TWS. They've done E55 brakes and E63 brakes on a W203 many times before.
