The 183 Max Power that was shown on your dyno is the actual amount of power that you got from the two parts, not the 204. The 204 hp is based on weather correction factor, in which the car would travel during "ideal" weather conditions...Sorry, cuz I hate to be the one to reign on anyones parade. Either way, the 183 is still a very good number and quite possibly would translate to near 200 on a dynapak. Main thing is you're enjoying your car now.

This is some information I found, while doing research, that is the most important part when looking at dynos (hint: most important factor isn't the max power).

Taken from this link:LINK: Dyno FAQ
I stand corrected......"again" Thanks for clearing that up Drex.

Your right that is the main thing. I will have the car for atleast 2 more years and then try to sell it before my 5 year 100k mile warranty expires.

That would be cool. Maybe you can run Hawian after his mods are installed. he is alot closer. Then again every car is different.

Soon enough you will experience the same thing . You might get a better pull off the line since you have a manual. Youll probably will get a better pulls through out each gear.

That would be something!!! Here is another explanation of the whole WCF thing. I contacted mustangdyne and here's the answer they gave me:

You are correct, WCF stands for Weather Correction Factor. Almost all dyno manufacturers offer this feature. This is a way for a shop to compare horsepower and torque numbers from different days by comparing the current weather conditions to what SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) considers perfect weather. By comparing the current weather and the perfect weather, you get a weather correction factor which can be greater than 1.0 or less than 1.0, which is why you’ve seen max numbers that are greater with and without the WCF.

So for example…..a customer gets his car dynoed in the middle of winter when it is very cold. Obviously the car is going to make good power because of the colder temperatures. Now that same customer comes back in the middle of August when its 95 degrees and 80% humidity. Technically the car should make the same power because he hasn’t made any new modifications, but we know that those kinds of weather conditions are going to cause the car to not make as much power.

The WCF on the winter day will be less than 1.0 and the WCF on the summer day will be greater than 1.0. So by including the WCF, the horsepower numbers on the winter day and the summer day should be very close to the same.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Best regards,

Tim Gentil

Mines are in. Exhaust note is a lot deeper. Not sure about the 25 hp increase that Kleemann claims. It pulls harder after 3,000 rpm.

Maybe a 25 hp increase at certain RPMs but not at the peak.

Are you going to get a dyno done? Thanks for the update.

Not anytime soon, thinking of getting Renntech Pulley when i have the time before i do a dyno. By the way, the Kleemann headers and cat come with a total of 3 o2 sensor. M271 engines only have 2 so you'll have to plug one up... i'm sure Kleemann knows.

I'm sure they're aware as well, but thanks for the heads up.

Renntech sold their last M271 pulley to BadAssC230K =\. You might have hope though - I have a plan...

In the case of m271 owners, patience is not a virtue and good things don't come to those who wait, bro!...LOL.

Just remember, many of us have pre-warned people on this board not to expect the amount of gains that is claimed.

so it appears there is still a lack of before/after dyno. apologize for bringing this up from the dead, but i'd like to modestly modify my c230k.

although it appears kleeman and renntech no longer have the boost kits in stock, do they sacrifice the longevity of the supercharger?

does supersprint still offer the headers?

drexappeal, how close are you to 200whp? are there any mod's you don't have pictures of in your photobucket account? what can you tell me about speed innovation tuning?

There's gunna be one guy who's gunna ask how this effects gas mileage as if it matters. "How does it effect gas mileage?"

I truly can't see how the boost kits will affect the longevity of the S/C. The eaton units are well built, and the rotors are coated in Teflon (me thinks) I had my S/C ported after approx 30k miles with a Kleeman pulley for the 2.3L, and the S/C unit looked great. Since I had it off the car, I had the internal oil replaced as a preventative. PERHAPS with the higher heat you risk shorter life on the hoses, but that is no biggie. Quite easy to replace.

I'd put in some S/C images, but right now photobucket is undergoing maintenance.
