I don't have the auto dimming mirrors so just seeing how this works out. So far it looks really ghetto but works amazing. Has anyone else done this before?

I'm kind of confused as to why you did that to your mirrror. Is it reflecting into your eyes?

What about during daylight though? Can you see at all? Haha. Good idea though. Maybe try blowdrying the wrinkles out.

I'm getting the Euro Nav disc, the Canadian Nav disc, and a GPS antenna all within the next day, and then the ripping, splitting, and hacking begins. If I can get it all to work together, expect a big announcement, but dont hold your breath

Please please please if you can get the Euro command to work with a North American map disk - write a guide! I'm sure they will make it a sticky!

There is a member who managed to make it work but the idiot refuses to explain how he did it, even though he has gained so much information from these forums.

white and whiter
dimming mirror's only on the driver side. it's standard. you can tint your windows instead if you feel the passenger side is too bright when there's headlight beaming on it.

Isn't the "idiot" that you are referring to the original poster of this thread? I think that benz_addict got it to work through alot of hacking and ripping.

Please correct me if I am thinking of someone else.

benz_addict: Novel idea, but I think in the daytime it will be a little dark. I see that you want to upgrade to folding mirrors in the future, so why don't you add dimming glass at that time as well? Save a few hundred more dollars and you are all set.

John I decided to just take it off it was too dark in the day time, I'll just be swapping out the mirrors for auto-dimming ones. I guess it's just like the bix, save a few hundred and get the right thing
