Weekly SoCal Meet!
Hey everyone, I just wanted to kinda make this weekly meet in SoCal known to everyone.
Its every sunday starting in the morning in Calabasas, 91302, pretty informal, just a whole buncha guys with cool cars meeting up. Mostly it is really rich middle-aged men with porsche CGTs and F430s and exotics, but there are also a lot of eurotuners, some M3 guys come every couple weeks, Vette guys, different groups, and I was wondering if one of these weeks maybe we'd like to get a group together to all go.
It might not be exclusively, or even primarily, MB, however we are all car enthusiasts, and its really a sight to see, I mean its just a lot of cool cars and friendly people hanging out and talking about cars. There is really no elitism or velvet ropes or BS like that, I mean the Enzo owner is sitting chatting shop with a guy who rolled up in an infinity.
One last thing: every week is pretty big (1-200 cars) but the last sunday of every month is HUGE!! I mean today, even with the Indy 500 on, it was EASILY 300-400 cars there.
If this sounds interesting to anyone, the directions are as follows:
From Woodland Hills and east/south - Take the 101 west and get off on Valley Circle/Mulhulland and its in the Vons/McDOnalds shopping center parking lot (BIG lot) that butts up to the freeway and the main drag going over the freeway. You'll see it.
From Agoura Hills and west/north - take the 101 east and get off on Valley Circle/Mulhulland. same directions as above, in the big shopping center next to the freeway. Cant miss it.
Im thinking we can use this thread to organize a week where a lot of us show, and just to alert people to this really cool thing where you can see a lot of cool cars and meet interesting people.

You guys are all panzy's! WLA/Calabasas/Pasadena are all 30 minutes from each other. I guess it's easy for me to say, cuz my house is right in the middle of all 3...hahaha.

Dang, it's too far from the OC, every quarter I have a meeting in Calabasas, I hate the drive. Meeting at 8am, I drive from my house at 5:30 and still get there very close to 8.

well, I wanted to just get it out there that it HAPPENS every week, but if you live far then deffinately coming every week is rediculous. I go because I am 10 minutes away.
But maybe if we organize 1 day out of a month or just occasionally, its not tooo far for a one-time thing

Sounds like fun! I will try to make it sometime. About what times? I used to do alot of stuff like that when I was in the Mustang Club and single. But since I have graduated to the AMGs and married with kids now, Maybe I can sneak out while everyone is still asleep

the meet starts at like 7AM, cars are already there...its NUTS and it goes till past noon. I mean, once you walk the whole thing there are enough new cars've showed up and rotated around that you can walk it again!
I actually just made the connection, this is COOL:
the company Village Coffee Roaster is kinda the sponsor/store/place that unofficially supports this, and you know who owns that place? the guy from Advans' CLK DTM post!! i guess he is a car enthusiast that started the meet at the location of one of his stores. (and MY GOD it was a good business decision!!! i mean its 3-4 hundred car guys, some with wives, all of which are there early and want coffee....the place PRINTS money every sunday!! prolly bought him that DTM!)
