You could turn off the DRL with out the star diagnostics. You can do it through the instrument cluster.

On the other hand, the side marker lights can not be turned off completely.

I mean you can try it, Just dont fry anything or Merc is going to rape you. I would just leave it alone,

OR find a small black rubber cover of some sort and cover the wedge bulb that will not melt and your good !

I finally had my red bull now i can think ! yeah that is the safest way to achieve what your trying to do. and not worry about wiring.

Put the bulbs back and try to hide the bulbs inside somewhere, just remember someone posted this trick. You could spray the bulbs first before hiding it

That too. Just leave the bulb plugged in and remove the wire and light from the socket. Tape it off or some sort Outta the way, and there you have it !

I dont want you posting a "Oh **** look what happen to my car while driving" Post about your catching your car on fire.

But yes that is another way to achieve your goal. Hope it helps, Also post pics !

I can tell you from experience that there is plenty of space to leave the bulbs in and tie them back. I had euro impact strips and no messages.

Should be easy to do, just select the right resistor

why dont you just take the wire with the bulb and let it hang out from the sidemarkers. push the bulb out and just let it hang from the wire
just like i did.. simple as that
