Found this on an old thread:

Does anybody have sheepskin covers on the coupe? Anybody the MB sheepskin covers?

If you have leather trim and you cover your seats with sheepskin (I don't know why you would though), then you may scratch your leather...of course this depends on the thickness and texture of the hide under the sheepskin.

i have 3 sets. i heard a rumor that they're discontinuing them so i'd recommend getting like 3 sets depending on how long you're going to keep the car.

That's why I didn't get leather seats. Too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter.

This is my first car with leather and I was concerned about that before I bought it. For some reason, I don't notice the heat or cold in the seats. I don't understand what all the griping is about. And no, I'm not numb from the waist down.:p

You have never sat on a leather seat that's been baking in the sun wearing a skirt. Not nice at all. And yes i am a girl. The car that I used to drive was a 560SL, and the leather was covered with sheep skin. So I thought, what's the point in getting leather seats when I'm probably gonna cover it anyway. And that's what my griping is about.

You're right. But I do wear shorts (no, not short-shorts like Richard Simmons).

On hot/sunny days I flip the seat forward all the way when getting out so that the seating surface is shaded. I usually have to grab something out of the back anyway so I just leave the seat flipped. But even when I forgot to do that I didn't have a problem.
