Out Of Control!!
Several reasons:
having mods indicates the driver has driven it hard (even if they say "never redlined it", though isn't that assumed with a slushbox?)
people who would want to mod it want to buy a stock one, and then do their own mods
most people don't give a crap about mods, and don't want to pay for something that they don't want
also, mods depreciate much quicker than the car that they're on, so they're as good of an investment as Enron stock

C230 coupe 6sp
Speaking of selling cars, I saw a new 350z at the Nissan dealer when I drove by, and stopped to look since I am considering it to replace my crappy shifting coupe, and I have a few observations.
1) The door handles are hidious. Really bad and tacky looking. Way worse in person than in pictures.
2) The rest of the car looks better in person.
3) The HIDs are goofy looking too. They have a cheap sci-fi movie look to them. Like "laser cannon" goofy looking. Of course a lot of the guys on this forum will like them because of that.
3) The interior is a mix of nice and cheap. The seats are very nice, but the dash, console, and steering wheel look like they pulled them out of a 78 280zx.
I will have to wait and look at the Infinity G35 coupe when it comes out. Hopefully it is better looking.

2. With your modifications, you should expect to get LESS than you would if the car was bone stock. Its just the way the market works. Your modifications have eliminated around 95% of potential used Hatchback buyers from your pool of potential buyers.

If you want to maximize your return on the car, you should remove all of that stuff, return the car to stock (as much as possible) and sell all that stuff separately.
You'll get more for the car, and will also get at least something for the parts.
