thinking about chroming the c230k, need opinions. i know they have the chrome grille strips, headlight rings, sideview mirror guards, and door handle guards, (anymore??). thinking to start with the grill and rings. it'll be on a black c230k with c7 wheel option. comments

No, honestly it would look a bit funny on the coupe....it would kinda be like putting wood trim inside the coupe!

 

I would not...whether you have a coupe or sedan. I do like the wood look in my C240 - but the carbon fibre look would probably have been sportier looking.

 

yeah the mirror and handle inserts are too much. i would maaayybe do the side moldings and front bumper inserts like the s class or something, and thin- spoke chrome wheels- like 18's. I would be very selective tho. As you can see chrome is not very popular on this forum, i am one of the few who are into TASTEFUL chrome.

 

Don't forget to chrome the fuel door.

 

The '03 coupe can be ordered with wood trim. I haven't seen it yet though. I like the aluminum.

Oh hell with it... just drive the whole thing into a swimming pool. Fill with chromium and drop in an extension cord.

It should be nice and shiny in about an hour.

 

I actually have thought of adding some chrome myself. One idea I thought of was to add a silver tape from Tape Works around the seal right under the side windows. That way if I didn't like it I could just take the tape off.
