A C23 Kleeman?

Probably a poser with a stock car that bought the badge. We make fun of them here all the time. But you went about it in the wrong way to be asking legitimate questions now.

Actually, with the 4.6L V8 that's in the Mustang GT, that's 215hp, 285lbs.tq.

If it was a true Kleemanized C23K, it could've been 1 of 2 models. It could've been a 2002 C230 Kompressor Coupe (m111 engine) or it could've been a 2003-2005 C230 Kompressor Sport Sedan (m271 engine). I'm figuring for the later. A stock 2003-2005 C230 Kompressor Sport Sedan has 189hp, 192lbs.tq, so off the bat, it's not really a fair contest.

If it was a Kleemanized C23K (m271 engine), at most you're talking around 219hp (at the crank).

So, in essence, you're bragging about kicking a car's butt that has less hp at the crank (stock) than you and then fully Kleemanized, barely has more power than your car (stock)? You've already listed all your mods, so to me it seems obvious that you would kick it's ***.

Now, that being said, if you went up against a Kleemanized/Supercharged 320 (m112 engine), that's a completely different story. At that point, you'd have more bragging rights.

In essence, you've come on here to let us know that you kicked the butt of something that should've been outrun by you anyway AND if anything, should've been going against a 3.8L v6.

Sorry, no props for this kill story.

How many options were on Z's car, Carlos? Makin' me feel bad here. I paid over $35 (out the door), but the sticker was $39K.

Not true. I had a '96 Cobra, fully loaded and the sticker was less than $27K. No way on Earth could a GT of the same year cost more, no matter how nicely equipped. Besides, Stangs have never had that much in options. You could check off every box and still get basically just a peppy engine, a railroad tie connecting the rear wheels and an interior made from smelted Legos and Barbie dolls. The term "fully loaded" was never really that loaded as far as niceties go.

not too much.
Her 2004.5 had Sport Package, power leather seats, BOSE sound, sunroof, climatronic, CD changer, nano paint, and maybe a couple of other nit-noids.

Again, we buy our Benzies from a volume salesman, not a commissions salesman, and that makes ALL the difference.

Hmmm...I had close to the same options, except I had lighting package (which was listed at only $780, I think)...Oh well, too late for regrets. Besides, it left more fun working on the m271.

that's true... she bought it in September just as the 2005 models were coming out. She wanted the FREE maintenance and old school interior over the new interior and exterior AMG sport package... oh well

Don't feel bad Drex... think of all the fun you've been having working and modding the car into the beast it is now !

I guess he didn't realize he was "smoak'n" a 1.8L or 2.3L 4cyl. So to answer his question, no that's not what we're talking about, you're talking about beating a Kleemann tuned 4 cyl with your 8 cyl.............. ooohhhh say it again........"Mufasa". That's like a Suzuki Hayabusa 1300cc beating a GSX-R 600 and bragging;.............. you're supposed to win!!!!

I don't know about $10k too much. I bought my 05' C230 Sport Sedan in March 05' with lighting package, sunroof package, and heated seats for $29,800. Think that was about $4k off sticker.

Bottomline is even a new loaded up Mustang GT will run you over $30k. Let's be realistic here. No one who wants or needs a new car goes shopping for an 11 year old vehicle. At least compare apples to apples and compare both new. Although I am a big fan of the looks of the Stangs, some just prefer the comfort and smooth handling of german cars. Just a different feel, gotta pick which you feel most comfortable with. I would prefer to go back to BMW though. I used to smoke Stangs in my 02' 330 coupe. That was fun. 3 speeding tickets later, I went with Mercedes Benz is a luxury, cruising car. Especially a C230k packing a 4 cylinder with a small supercharger putting out a whopping 189 hp. New C350 should leave you in the dust. Either way, very entertaining thread. I enjoyed it

Kleemanized C230K Coupe
My Buddy told me I was getting bashed on here so I had to respond. I was the one who raced this idiot. He didnt beat me like it sounds. Fist of all i have a 2002 C230K Coupe that I had Kleemanized by Motorwerks of N.P.R. Florida. They did a great job and said I had over 250 H.P. at the wheel!
I had him beat on the top end, every time he had to manuever for traffic I could blow by him and it took him forever to catch up. then he cuts me off before the next stoplight. He did get ahead of me a little there, but he had to been cheating because when I shifted out of first his car just made this loud hissing sound and leaped ahead. He must have had nitrous or a supercharger or something and twice the horsepower. If he had run up against a Kompressor V8 it would have been a different story, but these NASCAR
drivers in the POS trying to race all the time is ridiculous. I was thinking about changing the pulley on my supercharger again to get more boost. Would this work or just how much boost can it handle? Any comments?

Welcome. You certainly have a rare little car there. I have only seen a single Kleeman tuned C230 up here in WA. (At least in person)

I dont care how fast your 'stang is its still a Ford...that you couldn't pay me to drive.

Thanks for coming aboard! Welcome to MBWorld! Ah, so it was a m111 coupe! That engine has great potential. The main problem with both the m271 and the m111 is managing the AFR. I've got custom injectors in place to lower the AFR at WOT. My car (when it was running ideally) was in the 12-14 range, from what I remember.

What kind of pulley do you have on it now? -EDIT- I'm an idiot. You're Kleemanized...but, I'm not sure what the comparison is between a Kleemann pulley vs. ASP. Most common one used by a lot of the m111 owners is the ASP. Best bang for the buck available.

Take some pics of your engine bay! I'd love to see the Kleemanized work on the m111!
