Guys I didn't want to start another thread about SB's,so I'll ask my question here(I did search for sprint booster problems = 0).
I recently purchased(2 weeks ago) a Sprintbooster (from AMGSC,Robert, real nice guy and has a sweet C55) anyway I've been too chicken s*** to install it my 05' 230.On Saturday(on the advice I got from Robert when we meet) I visited STATUS in MB and spoke with Jesse,he mentioned that the SB has cause a few problems(I asked) like transmission lock up
.So my question(s) is have any of you had any Sprint booster related problems since you've installed your booster? He(Jesse, also a nice guy) said they(STATUS) could "flash" my ECU and get a little bit better performance(approx 15 hp) out of my car, have any of you had this done by STATUS and what were your results.
I would appreciate any input/advice you guys can offer.
thanks,
Phin

I agree. Status are really good guys. I spoke with Jesse and Rick @Status about ECU Flash as well. I haven't heard anyone has problem with Sprint Booster.

I'm not looking to gain power on my 06 c230 auto but I just want a solution to fix the throttle response lag on my car. I've searched and heard that Sprint Booster will improve the response, and the ECU Flash will be able to fix the response too plus more HP. What do you guys think? Should I get the SB or ECU?
1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.
Throttle becomes more responsive, especially if prior to that you were driving gently, trying to save some gas, as it "learns" what it thinks you want all the time.

Before you do anything, try the Drive by wire throttle reset.
1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.

also... i thought you had to turn the key to the second "click" (i.e. the start position), not just the first "click" (the "on position"). am i wrong?

Sprint Booster BDD451A
I have a new Sprint Booster for an automatic transmission, I enjoy it very much but it gives me a little too much torque. I paid $300 for it but I can sell it for $250 shipped, or best offer. Figured since everyone is happy who buys them, here's one for sale! It was on a 2005 c230 kompressor ss for about a week.

what do you guys think would give a better final gain... ECU flash and headers OR ECU flash and pulley for the m271?
i'm thinking if i get either pulley or headers to do the flash at the same time.

Just wait to do the ECU flash, if you are considering getting both headers and pulley. No point of having the ECU flashed if you intend on getting another bolt-on later. If you got ECU with one of those bolt-ons and then got the other bolt on later, the ECU would not be set to account for the new bolt-on mod.

Yea I know I'm late, but I have one laying around for the next group of people that may want one. I watched this post and the other one on the sprint booster and thats what made me buy it, I actually thought you (slvrc230) already had yours. I shall enjoy it while I have it though, its on the car until someone shows some interest, but it definitely takes some getting used to. I have an hour commute everyday and half of that is traffic, and the traffic made me sketchy about buying it but, a. it's a little too much in traffic, have to break immediately (lol), and b. but it's really a lot of fun because if the guy next to you steps on it, your already WOT and gone! So I just put it out there, anyone can contact me if they need a sprint booster, but until someone does, I will enjoy it.
