Weather effecting shifting...???
Any comments? Should I get this looked at? How should I approach explaining the problem? What can I expect the dealer to do?
I had friends that would go fourwheeling in very cold climates. Sometimes they had to start a small camp fires under the rearends in order to heat up the oil and free-up the gears.
Here in So. California where cold begins at 50 degrees my benz does shift a little harder when starting out. Nothing to really complain about. As you know the computer holds it in gear a little longer to assist in the warmup.
Dosen't take to long and it's shifting with that MB smoothness we all enjoy. Since the trans is adaptive it will shift a little firmer if your the type of driver whose always on the gas...

THIS WILL KEEP THE TRANS IN GEARS LONGER AND THE VEHICLE WILL TEND TO SHIFT A LITTLE SLUGGISH WHEN COLD,,SHOULD GO AWAY WHEN ENGINE REACHES NORMAL OPERATING TEMP.
