Considering a C230K Coupe
Coupes also have more front leg room than the sedan.
Coupe all the way. Coupes do handle better, the car is shorter overall, slightly lighter, and everyone of them has the sport suspension package, and they have slightly lower ride height than the sedans. A lot of it is perception as well. If youre in a six speed coupe, with a supercharged engine, you feel quite a bit more nimble than in an automatic equipped sedan.
If youre buying the car for fun, the first year model is the most mod friendly, and probably the best all around performer. The V6 320 Coupe is quite rare, and usually is saddled with an automatic transmission.
I have that rare C320 slapmatic

EDIT: LINK FIXED!
the coupe is more nimble because it has less weight, but handling wise I doubt they are any different than the sedan. In fact without the trunk of the sedan the coupe is actually a nose heavy car compare to the sedan (weight distribution) and we all know a nose heavy car will have tendency to understeer more. I really didn't feel any difference from the loaner experience between the C-coupe and the C230k sport the dealership would provide other than the C-coupe being slightly more nimble as already said.
Carlos, u should really give Drex, Jose, or my car a try at the next big meet since we all have pretty beefed up suspensions on our sedans.
back to topic, avoid the first year car as usual when purchasing a used car. chances are you run into more problem with the first year car than the later years.
