Is there an easier way to...

Is there an easy way to remove the center caps on our wheels without removing the wheel? I just purchased and received new center caps from Jerry for my wheels and will install them this weekend. I was just wondering if anyone knew of an easier way to change them out other than taking all the wheels off one at a time.

Thanks for the response. Since I don't need the old caps anymore and since they are plastic I am going to drill a screw into them and pull/pry them out. Thanks again

lol why dont you just remove the wheels. get a inverted torx adaptor on your screw driver. removing the wheel would be easy.

To be honest, I'm lazy. I am just thinking of how long it would take to jack the car up at all four corners, removing the wheel and then putting it back on. I was even thinking about taking it to discount tire (where I bought my tires) to have them rotate the wheels and have them do it then, but then again I just had them rotate and balance the wheels for free last weekend! I hope my method works, I don't see why it wouldn't.

Get a piece of orangewood...like what is used for doing finger nail cuticles...and pry it out. When you get the new ones you'll see there's not much there to hold them in. You could even do it with a screwdriver with no damage if you're really coordinated and careful. Plastic works too. I used the orange wood

I'm lazy too. But I still pull the wheels every month to give them a thorough cleaning and to inspect brakes & suspension.

At least it helps preclude me from having to do the things I don't enjoy.
