Since I don't know anyone with a c-class I wonder if those out there can report on this:
If it is dark outside and I unlock my car with the remote, the fog lights go on (which is normal), however as soon as I open the driver's door, the fogs turn off. BUT, if I open any other door the fogs stay on until I start the car.
Is this normal? it would be nice to have the fogs stay on as soon as I start the car not when I open the drivers door, especially if I am loading things in (I have to remember not to open the drivers door until the very end if I want to keep the lights on to light my path) sort of a strange system

What you describe above is completely normal.
I'll ask Steve if that is a programmable feature that can be manipulated via the Developer's STAR DAS.
