come on, fast does not equals to better. Afterall you guys will be driving at the same speed in traffic, or driving on the speed limit anyways.
My theory, who lives, who wins. Sure he'll be fast in tracks, but if he reclessly driving on the street, he's risking people's life.
To drive good, it's not only about how to avoid accident, it's also how to prevent from happening.
BTW, don't even compare those american made GM car with mercedes. their technology was used 10 years ago from Japan, all they do is boost up more cylinder, more emission, more fuel consumption, it's different class.

I hate when people ask me what kind of car I drive or something....I think it sounds stupid if I say "Oh, I drive a mercedes" or "I drive a benz"....so I just say try to play it off by saying my car is just silver or sumtin...but then they still ask you what kind...so...I don't know, lol, I just feel like I brag just by answering the question, but that's not how I am, you know?
X2, I think you are among one of the poster that did not degrade or talk **** about the Chevy Cobalt as other have. They have their pros and cons. Those that need to brag its a Mercedes needs to get a life. Material possessions isn't everything. There will always be something better, faster, more luxurious etc. And besides a C class isn't all that, maybe a C55.

haha, I feel the exact same way, but like you said, it's unavoidable. So when people ask I usually first say "C240", then if they look at me puzzled (most do), I say "it's a Mercedes". I just hate that people think I'm like a spoiled brat because I'm only 20. I mean, my car is 5 years old and although I might have overpaid a little for it, it still wasn't even as much as say, a brand new Nissan Altima Coupe.
I also find it funny that everyone is mad about someone talking about the first posters car, but then go on to mock his car. So what, the kid's head is inflated because he has a fast car. Like he said, it has its pros and cons. His goes for speed rather than overall build quality of the parts/car, those of us with a C240 went for luxury on a budget at the sacrifice of speed. It is what it is.

Reading a late June issue of Automotive News (trade magazine for the industry) believe it or not, Chevrolet still has 865 units of 2006 Cobalts that still have not sold in their inventory which represents about $14million.

someone who would do that is not your friend flat out. i've been hated on before with my other cars. they do it cause they are jealous of what you have. i mean sh*t its a cobalt SS. id never buy one. tell him "how come you didnt get a evo? now THATS a REAL sports car" =)
