Ambient / mood lighting in C-class

Does the C320 sedan have ambient lighting in the interior? BMW has this and it looks really nice at night. There are two small orange leds in the overhead console that shine suttle light down onto the center console and shift gate. Even the 3-series has this.

I have not seen a C-class interior at night so I wonder how the lighting looks. Are the door-mounted seat controls backlit? That would be nice as well.

Mood lighting in your car??

Candles would probably be a little dangerous. Maybe try this:

I looked around on mbusa.com and didnt see the ambient lighting as a feature on the C320's. I have that feature on my 97' BMW 740 and will admit it is a very nice when driving at night.

Would someone in an E class please photograph the emitter area? Closup and wide shot. I want to see if it can be adapted to the C.

Thanks!

No, the C320 doesn't have ambient lighting.

The door-mounted window switches are back-lit, along with the Memory button for the seat controls, but the actual seat adjusters are not. All of the instrumentation and supplementary switches with white markings are backlit... a pleasing orangish-amber matching the display in the radio face. All of the lighting matches... no mixture of different colors.

I think BigSheesh had some sort of neon light in the compartment under the radio. Might want to ask him.
