Co2 and intercooler
Why hasn't anyone made a kit to spray extremely cold co2 air into the intercooler on the c230k's? Im sure you could get an easy 20hp from this. Its easily possible its just that I dont have the supercharged version.

seems the guys with the e-class are having all the fun...

https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/106954-anyone-have-any-info-co2-intercooler-cooling.html
though I heard someone even changed out their I/C to i think a renntech [buell, was that you?] and said it dropped temps, but no huge gains. I could be wrong.
according to design engineering, the 10lb bottle will only last "about 5-6 passes" [1/4mile track runs]. Doesnt seem too 'efficent' as far as cost goes. Cost to Gains, is way off balance...

True while cost gains are an issue you have to realize that this can give a 20-70 hp gain (If ran correctly) and still be healthy for your engine. Also while running this system you could even run nitrous.

yes you can run it parallel with nos, however, max design engin is qouting on hp increase is up to 40hp. but again, its not a constistant powerband increase. so to me, your better off with doin an ASP pulley and/or ecu tune for the same amount of money.

Id like to do all three of these and i see your reasoning but where are the best places to go for my ECU and pulley. I didnt know they still made pullies for the 06 c230 SS

-EDIT- Nevermind. I re-read the first post. He's speaking OBO 230K owners, not about his own car.

Now that I understand where this was going, yes, there are people that have done intercooler upgrades, but it did not prove any gains at all.
Buellwinkle did it with his m111 (a while ago) and didn't show any gains.
The most recent person I know of that did an intercooler swap more recently is MikeSSw203. His was custom. I don't know of any others, more recently, that have done it.
As for a custom spray to send cooler temps through the intercooler, there are people that have discussed it, but nothing has been made yet. Eventually, I plan on doing a cooling upgrade of some sort. Just not sure which yet, but I'm leaving that up to the tuner. That's gonna be something that will be way over my head to get down good and reliable.

not sure if ASP makes makes pullies for the 06/07 v6's. I do remember they made em for the m111 though. if your gonna do ECU tune, check out stealth auto, powerchip, or SI. They have some pretty good numbers.
not sure about the specific kit, but the one i read up on was for i/c's. something about not wanting the co2 to get in the intake, itself. I dunno, it was SUPER late and i was falling asleep at my desk. please forgive my accuracy.

I was thinking of just buying a co2/no2 purge kit off of Ebay and just run them through the front of my air intake tubes and if that doesn't help run them further in. This is probably better than any cold air intake on the market.
As for the ECU/pully thanks for the input

CO2 system for sale
I have a CO2 system, 10ib tank, intercooler sprayer and a fuel bar, all from Design Engineering, CO2.com. I am taking it out of my car and selling it in the next 2 weeks. If anyone on this thread is interested, PM me. The biggest impact that one will get from a CO2 system is to chill the air going through the air intake hose. I would recommend the cryogenic bulbs. I recently purchased a carbon fiber air intake and thus wont be able to use the cryogenic bulbs...

A cryogenic bulb is an aerodynamically designed bulb which sits in the air intake tube. It is chilled with CO2. According to the mfg. it reduces air intake temperature by more than 50 degress. What does this mod do? Think of it as running your car in the cool air of winter during the summer months.
Check out this video...

I installed the intercooler sprayer and the fuel bar on my car. While I think these items could help marginally, it is the intake bulb that will really make a difference.

if you're trying to give yourself a mild boost in power, protect against detonation, and lower intake temps, do what i did and alcohol inject that biz-natch.
www.alcohol-injection.com
for $265 to your door, you can get an added power boost, protect against detonation, and it looks spiffy too. i bought the base kit, installed the smallest nozzle they had (3 gal per hour i think) and purchased the one quart alcohol reservior.
see my signature pics, in my engine bay, the nozzle is installed right before going into the intake manifold. post intercooler, post MAF, right before the throttle body.
