Chek Out My Intake!

kw230, looking at your pics you changed the tubing from the output of the intercooler to the MAS sensor, why? Wouldn't the metal absorb engine heat? Also, is there a problem with not having the wastegate venting back into the intake? Is this good/bad for performance? Has your check engine light gone off?
I checked out your burns stainless website, pretty cool. They are few miles from me, ought to check them out.

Nice work. 14.8??? Suweet! What was your trap speed?
Wouldn't just removing the plastic "grillette" next to the fog light work better for letting in more air? You could put your light back in place then too! Maybe a mesh grill could be inserted to cover the open area next to the light while still letting in air???

2002 Mercedes c230k 6 speed
I forgot the speed, I think it is somewhere around 98mph???not sure..
Yeah, i will do it next year, because it is close to winter now and I don't want the rain to get into the filter too much. I will cover up the fog light hole later..
The stock plastic pipe between the intercooler and the MAS looks funny (the shape, it is not all round), so i change to a 2.5 inch alumium pipe, it looks better but it doesn't generate better performance...
The air coming out from the supercharger(wastgate) is usually warm-hot, so seperate it from the air intake can lower the intake temperature and help performance. I have been using this set up for 2 months, it seems to work very nice.

I got my stuff from Mopac and Lordco. Most of parts I got were universal fit; therefore, you will have to do some custom job with the parts to fit in the C230K.

E550 Coupe
yeah, they don't have that many parts for our coupe that are actually designed for it. let's hope the market for it will get better.
hey, how do you like your stage II HID's? have you compared them with stage I's? my friend's selling me his stage I's for $550 so I was just curious if it's worth the extra $$$ for the stage II's.

The light output for stage 1 and 2 are the same, the only difference is the color temp. If you want more purple, bluish look, then I suggest you get the Stage 2. If you just need the extra light of HID, then save some money and get the Stage 1. Either Stage 1 or Stage 2 will look so different than "Superwhite" or "Xenon" like H7 bulbs.
