Rough cold start

On a few occasions during the extreme cold months, mine did the same thing. It would start up but the rpm drops and shakes but remains on. The m271 4-banger is known for rough starts in the morning...do a search. There have been several threads on this topic. If you're still under warranty, have it check by the dealer. Good luck.

I just bought my 05' and it has the exact same problem as yours when the weather is cold.
And a few week ago, it didn't start...it bumped up to 500rpm and just shuted off by itself.

Not sure if my case is the same as yours, but..
I've always got a squeaking cold start especially if I started the engine for the first time in one day. It started to squeak after I didn't drive/start the car for 3 months.
Went to a shop and I was told to spray some WD-40 onto the belt. I haven't done that tho since I think squeaking is almost gone now that I've driven my car prety much everyday
