What were you driving just before the C-Coupe
I have sometimes wondering what the others were tooling (daily wheels) around with before taking in the C-Coupe.
I was driving a 1994 Maxima SE. It got totalled in an accident so I went for the Coupe. This is a step-up for me in brand image but not in cost. My Montero cost many more thousands when I bot it new.
Peace

I drove a '98 Mustang Convertible and a '98 Buell S3T, so getting the coupe was both a step down in reliability and performance. Hopefully reliability is stabilizing as MB works through all the defects and performance, while it may never reach Buell standards, it will certainly be able to keep up with Mustang GTs.

i actually don't have my coupe yet. but it'll be here in about a month so i thought i'd chime in anyway.
i'm driving a '92 Cougar, back from the days when cougars were actually really good cars. she's been through alot and still runs like new. soon to be my brother's ride.

2000 nissan altima gxe, i miss that car. for the 2 years i had it, i put ob 50k miles. then it started sounding like a diesel, so it went bye-bye. that and it got hit. in terms of performance, it wasn't really too far off from the coupe. The 2.4L 4 banger in it put out 155 hp and 155 ft-lbs tq, 0-60 was 8.4s. But it didn't have the stability the coupe has at high speeds. Man, when i hit 90 in that car, i was afraid to go any faster. In the coupe you can hit 115 and still be extremely comfortable with going faster. i'll miss the fwd though when i go skiing.

Well I've only had my '02 C230 coupe for 9 days... and I'm loving it!
Previous ride was a Ford 2000 Expedition...
Before that were '86.5 Supra Turbo... and before that... '82 RX-7.... so I'm back to my roots in a hatchback...er.. I mean coupe...
Yes big change, Expedition was great for hauling stuff, if I ever went shopping I know I could take whatever it is home (sofa, etc...). It also made me the family bus driver, seating for 8... I already have the mother in law saying where do me and my husband sit... well the answer is there is no room for the both of them with my wife and daughter...
Did I mention I love this car!
After my Ford exprience I think I'm staying with Japanese or European rides...

The rims on your Jetta are MAGnificent! I've never seen rims that nice before. What make and inches?
The car I drove before the Coupe were:
1993 Crysler Mini Van
19XX Mitsubishi Colt

2000 VW Passat and before that a 1990 VW Corrado. The Passat is a great car but the handling is a little sloppy. The Corrado was fun. I sold it with just under 200,000 miles and the engine sounded like new.

You can actually get these rims for the c-coupe. They make a 5x112 fitment(since they also tune audi's) that would fit.

Had it three months and lost the back end on an icy road. Drove it off the road. Tow truck did more damage than I did. I sold it not long after I got it fixed. Like the coupe MUCH better.
