Putting a sandwich baggie (glad, ziplock, whatever your pleasure) or saran wrap around the lugnuts so that the coloring on the edges doesn't come off with repeated use of your wrench. They do get nicked up pretty quickly otherwise.

Thanks for editing, that response makes more sense. Watch it if you have to take the car to a shop for any reason; impact guns will really do some good damage.

Those rims wouldn't stand a chance with the way I parallel park.

nah, don't like that look ..... lokos like you already got a puncture lol

not a fan of stretched tyres, that said the 255's now on my brabus 9.5" rears and the 225's on 8.5" art the front do look a little stretched, but i just can't get away with 265 and 235, would rub like crazy

Thanks for the kind words sir. . . its been a while and I have to say I still love my car

Here are some more recent pics of what she looks like today from last years Socal Euro event here in San Diego.

Well besides with the update on the car. . . I follow up with an inquiry I think ill be trading my AMG wheels for some CLS wheels but I need some tire size suggestions. I want to run a "proper" setup this time so I can just daily mash around the streets of SD. I was thinking 225/30/18 in the front and 255/35/18 in the rear. . . thoughts? Suggestions?

225's in the front will be ok, be careful going bigger, or less offset, i found while experimenting with mine that on 8.5" Rims i needed spacers not to clear the caliper, but to clear my suspension strutt, and in doing that it pushed the edges of the tire close to the front and back of the inner arch when on full lock, had i gone to 235's on the same profile it would have likely rubbed because the track is effectively wider for the same pivot point of the steering.

Also, you got your profiles backwards - fronts should be 35 rears 30 on that size if your looking to return to stock kind of setup.

255's in the rear are fine, and i don't think i need to tell you where to watch for rubbin'

Rim width depends on the look you like, u like that stretched look, i dont, but if your looking to stray away from that, then 9.5 on the rear and 8.5 up the front gives a little stretch, stock is 7.5 and 8.5, those are pretty good, or 8's and 9's would also give the stock look

225/40/18 and 255/35/18 would be the right size.

or you can run 235/40/18 265/35/18 if you want to raise the car up a little.

Thanks guys, profile suggestions duly noted. Im probably going to go with 225 and 255. I still want to remain at the relatively same height. When its all done I will update with pics. I will most likely paint them black since I'm all over the murdered look at the moment. Thanks again

looking good man... how come my stretch looks more than yours in the rear but I'm running 245/40 on the rear. maybe its just the angle lol... I'm aiming for wider wheels instead of lower offset now... going to order 3.5" lips in the rear so I'll be at 18x10.5 in back.

You should do mag blue for the wheels instead of black.

Be careful, young jedi - the murdered out look gets very old and very boring very quickly. Can't wait to powdercoat my RPF1s next month for the crx.

here's mine on the brabus rims....

Sorry for the crap photo's i don't have any others right now, of these three there is really only th first one that i like that gives you some idea of the way they fill out the arches, obviously i am at stock hieght so looks like i have lots of gap The fronts stick out from the arches a lot more than is visible in those shots, but it's not too far to cause a problem.
And those 255's on the back look really good from the rear

Alright nix the CLS wheels, the deal fell through so Im just gonna get new tires for the AMG Style 3's. Quick question though, I am currently running 225/45/17 in the front and 245/40/17 in the rear. Can I/should I size up at all in the rear to a 255/40/17? Granted that the rears are 8.5 inches wide. . . is there any benefit to running 255 as opposed to 245? Oh what do any of you guys have any experience with Hankook Ventus V12's at all? If so how did you like them and how long did they last?
