I just have a couple questions about installation. Searched and have not prevailed on getting some answers. Im sure someone has installed them in their coupe . . . other than fabricating brackets.

1. Can you use a regular seatbelt? Or do you have to get racing harnesses?

2. Are these seats universally sized for any make and model? Guy said they would fit but I just need some reassurance before going for the purchase.

3. Will this affect any of the sensors and what not that are built in the stock seat?

Has anybody installed aftermarket racing seats in their car?
1) If the factory seatbelt clip (red part) is built into the factory seat, you'll have to use a racing harness.
A regular 4-point harness will do, no need for a crotch strap

2) Recaro Seats are universal for most makes and models (as long as it fits in the car)
You may need to buy the specific seat brackets for the car.

3) May affect a SRS sensor.

Is there a way to alleviate the SRS warning if I decide to do this?

It should fit, but just to be safe you should double check the dimensions. I'm pretty sure the stock 3-point belt will work but it will wear out the shoulder pretty fast. I would try the factory belts before thinking about 4-points because personally I hate 4-points in a daily driver.

I think the SRS thing all comes from the child seat sensor. If you can take it out of the passenger seat + transplant it into the new seat, you should be fine? :x

Ive never done it and Im just guessing here.... Try it and be the first

JMC will probably be doing the installation and they will be able to deal with the sensors and the fabrication of the brackets. I just gotta compare dimensions with the Recaro and the stock seat. Anybody know the dimensions of the stock seat off hand?

Just got my KMAC camber kit installed and boy does it help ALOT!! No more inner tire wear, bigger contact patch, and it no longer pulls to the right. If you plan on lowering your car please get a camber kit! ! !

Here are pics of the nearly zero camber

The kit was about $300.00 from K1 motorsports and my local alignment shop (trueline) did the installation.

I was actually asking how much the alignment shop charged to install and align it. I hear the K Mac kit is a PITA.

Have you found out if any sensors will need to be bypassed yet?
Is the seat you have now leather and fully manual?

Yes the srs sensors will have to be bypassed and from what they tell me it is easy to accomplish, will update when I figure out how. The seat is cloth with a fiberglass shell. I have to order sliders to make it move back and forth. If you are the only driver, you don't need them but the seat will be permanently set. Can't wait to put it in
