The parts are on order,

1. You have to fabricate the base in which the seat is mounted and fabrication takes about 4 hrs., you could use your stock base but the seat may sit higher than desired and you have to order an adapter for it.

2. Tab slider has to be ordered ($90)

3. Side mounts ($100)

4. Electronics will have to be removed completely.

All in all the priciest portion of this all is the base because no company makes after market seat bases for the coupe or sedan. Should be in by March 7th.

All associated electronics with the seat will be removed and bypassed through cpu. Will try and get step by step instructions from the tech who will deal with the sensors once seat is installed. So far seems like a long and arduous process since nobody races c230's normally.

Looks like im gonna have to, or drill a hole into the floor of the car and attach the buckle part there, it will be really far down to reach

There should be an area to attach the lapbelt onto the bracket. Who is making the bracket for you?

My local race shop JMC motorsports. What I meant was drill a hole and attach the buckle portion of the existing seatbelt into the floor to avoid using harnesses all together. It will be really close so I think im goin for harnesses instead, we'll see what happens.

Oh and I agree with Brabus_x2, the mud flaps do make the coupe look a little bit sportier

I may or may not take em off, we'll see how this crazy SD weather persists. Why in the world are you on probation Blake? Anyways, latest mod is a K&N air filter . . . yippee!!!! Should be getting my Recaro in this friday, school has kept me busy and finals are just gonna be the icing on the crud cake so I really couldnt find the time to get it installed. Might be deleting my resonator too if I have the time. Thats the update for now, now back to studying O-Chem

Should I get harnesses? I only ask this because to do so I would either have to get a harness bar to go across the back seat to attach the harnesses making it virtually impossible for anybody to ride in the back, or rip out the back seats entirely to hook the harnesses up near the trunk. Either option has some major interior work in the process. I am going to keep my existing seatbelt for the mean time and decide whether to do it later along the line. This is my daily driver with occasional track usage, feedback?

I will post pics of the final product after finals along with how a step by step process of how the racing seat is installed.

I personally HATE harnesses for daily driving but some people are okay with it. I also would suggest against harnesses unless you're rocking a cage of some sort.

Ran into a little snag with the shop that was fabricating my bracket, they could have done it but what they were charging was ridiculous. So I'm changing over to Group 5 Motorsports . . . maybe awhile.
