No comparision, the W204 smokes the W203 easily in looks, and specification.

I like the front end of w204 but the rear end isn't doing it for me... mayb it'll grow on me. I'd wait few more yrs for w205

Any car will go outdated.. give w204 2 or 3 yrs... by that time it'll probabl get better wheels and probably will get updated tail light... then you'll probably tell yourself 'thank god I waited'..
it's waste of money to change cars everytime something new comes out. I give more props to those who tastefully mod their older cars compared to just a new car

headlight washers
rear folding seats
heated seats
rain sensing wipers
tire pressure sensor

All these were options and now they come standard and they are what I would rather have and missing from my current car
Yeh, but what does it cost for all that?
Nice pics!

Makes me glad I have a coupe which isn't changing at all...
ha.....except that they won't be built in Germany any more if I recall correctly, he coupes will now be built in Brazil.

Actually cheaper than my car was in 2004. It is selling fully loaded (more content than the US cars) in Canada for $41,000 CDN

Too bad they didn't make a 300hp C class like the new 335i BMW.. So I got that instead of waiting for the w204.. I will be getting a c63 when my lease is up though..

i've seen it in person already. it definitely looks better than what the picture suggested.

be happy with what you have. it's a car it's bound to get replaced by a newer car.

Definitely true and with Mods the 203 looks very good, even compared to the 204. 204 looks a bit bloated, very good comment on mixing Lexus with a MBZ.

W203 Wins the Beauty Pageant

Our culture is designed to make you want the "latest and greatest."
Just because something is new doesn't make it better in every possible way. True, that W204 looks sleeker, looks a lot more like all of its new competitors.
BUT the W203 looks so much classier. The W203 just has a uniqueness that is lacking in the W204.

Just two more cents. Thanks for the comparison pics.

IMHO the 203 has a classic look that is never going to look 'bad' per se. Some of the older BMW builds just look cruddy compared to the newer ones these days; I don't think that's ever the case with Mercedes.

The 204 lines remind me of the newer 3 series lines. Sporty enough, and it'll grow on me.

Only real gripe is I feel like I can see the resale value of my car plunging right before my eyes

Think of them as two different cars

sanf, that's a smart way to look at it when you really stop and think. Comparison and envy build sales though.

I totally agree!
one of the draws of the W203 is that is looks unlike anything else on the road...save the the S class (221)

I'm hoping they will come out with a 335i competitor. Hopefully next year. Maybe they'll turbo charge the V6 that's in the C300. I'll probably be getting a C63 too... after a few years of some good depreciation. Probably when it gets below the 40k mark.

I have nothing against the new 204,it's a nice looking car.I still like the 203's " lines" better than the 204's JMHO.

I agree, but i wouldn't worry too much about it because "comparison and envy' build sales pretty much by involving other brands and not within the mercedes family.

I love the w203 as it and I like the W204 as it, either way..I am still with Mercedes.

Bla bla
I disagree with the statement W203 looks dated. The fact is the new W204 looks like a completely different car. Yes it's fresh and looks awesome. My 07 W203 Sport looks so good in the parking garage, it makes Bimmer 325i or 328i look bad. I love the interior of the W203 much better, except the W204 has latest electronics. Outside, W203 still has some similarities of the current S class. Also, due to the fact W203 is on last model year, Mercedes give it AMG pkg, body kit, tail pipes, wheel design. It's looks amazing! Again W204 looks like a different car, so W203 is unique on its own and has that Mercedes prestige and build quality that nothing can touch it. Also, it drives with such authority and sophistication only a Mercedes can offer. Everyday I get into I like more. Here's the silver lining, I got my loaded (Nav, Ent, etc etec) W203 for $33K!! The same car without Nav in W204 will cost $40K+!!! There is a 7k difference, I will drive my W203 for 5 years, and get the W204 on the cheap. So for those who wants a "fresher" C class, and is will pay for $40+ with no discount (loaded with Pana Roof, auto, P2, AMG wheels etc, yes I priced it out), yes it's very fresh. For those who wants an amazing Mercedes at a bargain and loaded with toys get the W203, compare to what on the road (current 3 series, and A4, Acuras, etc) it looks FRESH!!

I don't like how the 204 looks right out of factory, but...I don't think anybody would really have a problem with their car looking out dated if you do clean upgrades. I think my car and many others will survive the influx of w204's that will be on the road:
