i had silver 02 c230 auto..
i traded it a while back for a black 03 320 AUTO..
i had a great deal (my dad knows a dealer blablabla) and since i wasnt planning on really changing my car anytime soon, i went for it...
(silver -> black, -30k miles, both coupe, auto & panoRoof)
so my car is now c320 auto... only 1 mod : black amg reps 18" with ze912 tires...
ill start my thread next month, since ill get at the same time : bixenons, tinted 05 tails, and blaked out grill, subs&s (already got a 2din HU for christmas) and all minor upgrades of course (sidemarkers, blinkers, pedals..)
btw trust me the difference between c230k and c320 is HUGE !

Hi Valexv,
I know you know a lot about the Instrument Lights to be able to change yours.
Can you help me, today it seems that the lights just went dim, like at the top and bottom it seems like the numbers are partly burned out?
I did a search but could not come up with anything.

Have you figured out any way of repairing the Displays since you cant but that as a separate part from the stealer?
Or has anyone found out where you can buy just the Display?
Does changing the LED's different color or same color fix the Display?

you would either have to ship your cluster off to get the screen replaced, or buy another one new/used and replace it your self. The problems you are having deals with the lcd screen only. Changing the LED won't fix the problem.

No luck yet on finding someone who supplies the screens, I would like to swap it out with a white LCD instead of the orange one we have, the older s class looks like it might fit. Not sure if I will order one to try out though, might be a big waste of money. tommy found a place but not sure if he ever sent it in. It was around $300 to replace the screen with a "repaired" used screen.

Two different methods of painting the needles red. 2st one looks more OEM when off but looks pink when lit up. The 2nd one is where is painted on top, the paint was messed up a bit so the guy is sending me another bottle, should be finish by next week for the complete cluster

wait.. what? did you change your cluster's led?? i don't see a writeup on it!?? please let me know if that's stock or if it's blue/white like that on the coupe!

I like what ya did w/ the cluster - the new color scheme really refreshes the 'feel' of it. Did you do the rest of the lights (radio/upper row/climate control)in the car in the blue/red color?
I think its time to lower the car to make those wheels really SHINE!

change the cluster to blue LEDs, i will do a write up once complete, trying to get the needles right. I will post 2 methods for the swap.
Pioneer HU in along with HD tuner, Bluetooth, and ipod adapter. Magnaflow muffler in but I need to order the Hi-flo cat. Also 2 sets of HIDs so whenever I order the canceler from stealth and the radio harness those will be in.
The dash has been dyed to black as well and the center consol and pillars are off the car getting painted as well. The guy with the vinyl didn't have black so the grill hasn't been wrapped yet.
Since I am currently not working there will be a hold of things I have to buy, the coil overs were going to ordered this month but o well. Since I have time I will try to finish some other projects that I have everything for. Hopefully more soon.
