Replacing a MAF

Hey everyone, I recently ran into some trouble with my MAF and the mechanic suggested replacing it. After doing a lot of reading it seems that maybe taking it out and cleaning it would help the problem. I have STFF and found many threads on MAFs, but none that would really help me to take one out of my car. Could anyone help with this at all? Post pics, links to a guide etc. Everyone seems to say it's pretty easy but i'm sort of car-tarded and not really familiar with the engine on my C240. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and if there's any tips or things I should do before/during/after those would be nice to know too.

I don't have your engine, but I would look along your intake track, and look for a black piece of tubing with a wirin harness to it. Try searching the W203 forum with say....

C240 MAF. Then read away.

Just because I'm feeling exceptionally generous...

Now, I think you can even clean it on the car. Say, at night, you come home. Let her cool down, pull apart the intake tubing above it. Spray the heck out of it. Leave it apart, all the spray will evaporate.

Then next a.m. reassemble.
