but, it looks like the front is more complicated and if you add them up - patronus said $240 - i think you should consider the eibachs for $375

right now, i'm thinking either just get the rears for cheap, or wait for larger eibachs later. any comments?

the other advantage of the c32 swaybars is that it is an mb part so it should be totally fine w/ the dealerships.

Thanks
kw230 changed only the rear bar to change to handling of his car. Increasing the rear roll stiffness with bigger bar will reduce untersteer when the front is left unchanged. If both bars are changed proportionally, body roll will be decreased but the handling characteristics will remain the same.

oops, sorry - i don't have a source (was just looking at tirerack). afaik, they're not yet out in the US. will still need to wait longer unless you want to pay more for the kleemann's eibachs.

the 3rd option is evosports' bars - more money, but more adjustable.

What about the Coupe's rear bar?

Thanks!
At one time I read in a review that the coupes bars were the same as the C32's. This is not true. Both KLEEMANN and tommy have measured the bars on their coupes are 20 mm front and 13 mm rear, which is the same as the sedan. The C32 has 22 mm front and 16 mm rear. The Evosport bars are 24 mm front and 19 mm rear. The Eibach's are 24 mm front and 22 mm rear.

I don't change the front bar is because I have already ordered a set of eibach's 24/22 sway bars.

The stock 20mm front bar and the C32's 16mm rear bar seems to have a good balance to the car, if combine with the eibach lowering spring and a set of koni shocks, it would be a nice set up. (Good price!!)

kw230, I noticed in the picture that you aren't running the stock springs and shocks. I'm just thinking that your setup might drive completely different from someone with stock springs and shocks and this C32 swaybar.

Eason, do you have the rest of your suspension stock? I'd be interested in hearing what you think before I buy anything.

I'm gonna wait for the eibach's. Didn't Edvpt get the eibach sway bars some time back? I thought he was from the US.

edvpt is busy right now so he hasn't posted in a while but he loves how his car rides.

Pictures, take some pictures. My dealer hasn't called yet. I'll stop by on Saturday and see if they got them. Still have to do the intercooler.

On the coupe? Most definitley...the coupe has really bad lateral movement which you can really feel. I have this sharp curve near my house that has a few rough spots and when you hit them while negotiating the curve, it feels like you have literally jumped off the road sideways by a few inches.

Heh, my 1966 Peugeot 404 Coupé Injection has a 27 mm front bar and a 14 mm rear bar. Different car from a different era, but the 404 does have three-link properly triangulated McPherson struts like a C Class, though at the rear is a live axle with worm drive . And no, it does not out-handle the C 230 K, though it does give a good account of itself for a car of its vintage.

Hello eason, congraduation that you have got you new bar.
It is really easy to install. It takes no longer than 1/2 hour for the rear bar if you got all the necessary tools and the right bushing.
I have just finished my Mid-term exam, you can come to my house to install it if you like...

For some people said I dont have the stock suspension set up, but I know how is the coupe handles in stock form because I start to mod the suspension from a completely stock coupe. Also, from the theory side, a 13mm bar change to 16mm bar, which is about 2.3 times increase of bar stiffness, it is much!!!
