2 days ago i installed an exhaust on my 2003 c230 kompressor coupe..
i coulden't find a muffler that fit..so i cut the muffler off and welded on a custom pipe and some tips on its spot... i also cut off the middle muffler just after the resignator and put a round Magnaflow race muffler... so now i have no end muffler just tips and a magnaflow race muffler were the stock middle muffler was... ( IS THIS OKAY ? ) would this be street lligal?

Sorry I can't help with the topic at hand, I don't know what your laws are regarding emissions systems.

 

I paid $300 for everything.. $150 for the round race exhaust $100 for the tips and $50 labor..

 

what's the middle muffler? you mean your resonator?

 

theres a Catalytic converter then a resonator then a middle muffler or second resonator and then the end muffler with the tips...
I removed the second muffler/resonator and the rear muffler and put a Magnaflow round race muffler on the spot of the second muffler/resonator and a pipe with tips were the rear muffler used to be...
Does anyone know if this is okay.. would it be street lligal?

if im not mistaken i think that is a second resignator. Its completely fine from what i've been told...i tihnk it has to do with keeping the noise down...should be fine...

there are 2 cats, then a resonator, then the muffler.

street legal? no. but there are ways to get by with it.

 

i think you'll be fine im pretty sure they cut your muffler off stuck in that round manaflow and deleted your resonator. thats exactly what i have and its legal, jus dont mess with cats and youre coo.

That actually sounds pretty good. And a lot less expensive than trying to source one of the few mufflers that fit in the allocated space.
I never heard of a 2nd resonator.
Be sure you didn't delete the cat.
