Yea, thats what the adjuster thinks it will cost to fix the car. I am waiting for them to fax me a copy of the estimate to see what they are screwing me on.

I think I may be able to save the bix. I am going to swap out the rear portion of the assembly with that of my frosty headlights. As long as the clear lens isnt cracked.

If there are other things which need repaired I have to contact the insurance agent and we will work something out.

Yea. The body shop I took it it if pretty pricey. I had gotten a quote to paint and install my fenders and they wanted $1300

its all good if u r tight with the bodyshop. and make sure that they dont see the check the insurance gave you.. otherwise they will want to squeeze it all out.

I don't plan on telling them what the insurance gave me, but they may have an idea as to what I am getting.

I am planing on doing the painting myself. No sense in paying the body shop a **** load of money to do it when I can do it for a lot less.

I am going to work very closely with the body shop to try to get the car better than it was. I should have the car back in 3-4 weeks.

Can we say kleemann S/c instead of body kit j/k

why don't you just put the original parts back on and part out the car and sell it? Will you make a big loss doing that? 10,945.83 - very basic fixes + what you sell the car for = good head start at getting a CLS. Just and idea

Thats actually what I am planning on doing. I am going to have to body shop fix the car and I'll put the oem parts back on, then sell her. Well probably trade in since I dont want to sit around waiting for a potential buyer.

I won't argue that it has potential, but it takes so darn much money to achieve that potential and there are much better looking/performing cars in it's class. W204 FTL.

I like the way that sounds. I'd take a CLS over a w204 tho, but it would be nice to mod a w204.

It does take a lot of money to get it to look really good.

I'd like to stay in the MB family and I'd like something AWD. The w204 is a little more practical for me at this point.

Man,
There is so much pain in this thread it's hard to read.
First and foremost, that's the cleanest, best looking wreck I've seen in a long time. I try to be a "turn the other cheek" kind of guy, but I'd be pi$$ed!!!

Going to a doctor is a good idea....AFTER you see a lawyer. It may not be too late. Lawyers work on contingency, meaning you pay 0 unless they win you $$$, then they get a piece (1/3). You should check w/ one yesterday. I forget who posted about the payoffs and the Rolex, but I'd bet he'd concur.

When you pick up your CLS, you might want to swing by the lexus girl's house and thank her...

BTW, if you do decide to part it out...let's talk about the shoes...

Loving that brabus kit way better than the original released kit. But might be better to wait for the C63. Modding a 204 C350 might come out to about the same price right?

Either way if you do get the 204 now I love that Brabus version!!!

Good luck getting the ride together and selling it.
