Thanks for doing this.

Here is the car.

Here is the wheel I want to put on

If it means anything, the car is to be painted a gun metal grey color. Thus the black rims. Getting these 4X100 rims to fit will require about $500 in machine work, not to mention the cost of the rims. Plus 14" rims have limited performance tire options now a days.

Again, thanks much. Tell me what I can do for you.

E

PS Skills

This is kind of a weird thread to make my first post in but I have photoshopped a good amount of times with my car and have a ballin computer setup at work. I would be happy to take on a few as I can during my lunch and that sorta thing.

I am loving this forum (discovered it a while back - finally registered a couple days ago) and look forward to catching everyone up on my mods. I just got back from Dubfest in SoCal (represented MB the best I could, of course) and it inspired a whole new wave of mod fever that hopefully will not drain my ENTIRE bank account

Haha thanks for the advice but I think I am gonna stick around! I will be sure to make an intro thread (wasn't really sure if that was appropriate/commonplace) with some pics to introduce myself. One step at a time... I mean I just finished the text portion of my sig

keep the stock wheels! they look sick... like a tape deck or record player... can't compete with the retro look

If its still confusing as hell, ask and i'll take my time and do a step by step thingy.. its probably going to be very similar to the site, but ill do it nonetheless.

Ok so I was bored while between classes, I tried given my car a shot lowered, its one of the first times I've used photoshop on my car...so be nice...I'm not good with it at all...I couldn't figure out how to rotate the top layer to make the front go down, so I wouldnt slam the back even more...

No need to rotate the layer. My trick is to add another layer on top, then cut out the wheel well in front and leave the back one alone. That way when you drop the front layer, the rear wheel drops with it and only the front end appears lower. Hope this makes sense. Now if only you would chop some nice wheels on there as well...

the same pull down trick as PS. then just edit here and edit there just enough to fool my eyes... that's pretty much it.

1. use "free-form select"
2. pull down the selected area (car body including rear wheel)
3. select "pick color" or copy area then use pencil, brush..etc. to fix up mismatch areas
