Charcoal Filter location

Does anyone know where the activated charcoal filter is located?

you have to remove the panel under the glovebox to access it assuming you have one.

What model do you have?

Im only assuming it is a c32 amg.

The W203 filter locations are on pages 7 & 8 of http://www.buellwinkle.com/HVAC-W203.pdf
It includes other esoteric information for the technically curious...

Recently replaced the (2) interior charcoal filters (# 203 830 21 18) during the course of a DIY service B. Incidentally, M-B recommends their replacement only after 60k miles or 5 years. Didn’t notice any difference, except for a wallet that was ~$100 lighter.

I am in the process of changing filter and wanted to make sure the quantity of filter that I have.

2003 C230 sedan, 1 filter on top of battery, right?

Looks like I scared KYC32 away two years ago. :nix:

You definitely have the one above the battery.
Only those W203’s with the Automatic Climate Control HVAC system utilize the under-glovebox filters.
