Uh....yeh...you mean you didn't already?
When you do you'll have to change your sig from
"I love Hwy 1" to
" I found god on Hwy 1"
or "I left a brown stain on my seat on hwy 1".
In fact, if you haven't gone past Monterey you don't even qualify to mention Hwy 1 in your Sig.
North of SF is real kick too.
I've actually driven the whole thing from San Diego to Eureka, (and up through Oregon) including former portions, now redesignated though not all at once.
Gas being so expensive is a real drag.
I miss road trips!

coz sunset is niccee when you drive right next to the coast
day is nice when you drive by the grass plain
night is nice when you finally reach to town
what do u think?
coz everytime i drove there i just reach to santa cruz i drive back home![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)

Thats a good drive...
next time try 35 all the way north, then down to the left
Black Rd, which comes out on 17.
You still need to get down to San Simeon.
This time of year, the weather is beautiful, and hotel rooms cheap,
as little as like 40 bucks in and around San Simeon, and Cambria..
drive down Sat., then back on Sun.
Once schools out, the prices go up, and the fog comes in....
Or just down and back the same day, but thats a lot of driving, though I've done it....you can cut back over to 101 in Cambria, then you're about 2-2.5 hours from San Jose.
Any place to stay thats actually in "Big Sur" will cost you an arm and a leg.
(check prices at Ventana or the Post Ranch )
Which is why I always just keep going.
Cambria has lots of little stores that keep the women happy, checking out the bricky bracky stuff and lots of restaurants to choose from.
