Need some help here.

Hi, All,
I'm trying to get a c230k ss and need some help and advice from you guys. Basically I want to get '05 c230k ss manual 6spd to use as my commuter car as it get about 30mpg hwy. But I'm not able to find any '05 6spd, only '04s or '06s. So,

1. Does MB make any '05 c230k ss 6spd? Is it really hard to find?
2. What is your opinion on the longevity of m271 engine and supercharger? Will it go 200k/300k miles with normal maintenance since this is force induction engine? Or I'll be better off going with normally aspirated v6?

I'm planning to keep the car for about 10yr/200+k. Thanks all.

a quarter mile at a time
they did make the 2005 C230 Sport with a 6-speed manual, it's just that any MB is hard to find with a manual tranny.

Not sure about the longevity, some of the other members here can chime in on how long the 2005's last.

They do make 05' C230's but it is hard to find to keep searching

I'm not sure how long they last, but I think someone already has 130k on an 05. Maybe they will post here

I have 96000 on 04 c230 auto. I average 32 hwy miles per gallon and hit 34 on the way to Wistler. The computer said 36.7, but when I did the math it was more like 34. This is with a Kleemann kit and header installed.

Thanks, guys. I'll keep looking. I saw some '04 6spd but I want the '05 front bumper and bigger brakes. I think I remember reading 2004.5 comes with bigger brakes? Is that true?

Yeh, another reason i'm getting c230k is the gas mileage. My commute is 100miles/day currently (down from 240miles/day) so c230k is perfect. Thanks.

This site has a really good explanation of the differences between the models.
